Greg Woodard Calls it a Career April 18, 2018 It was a career filled with unprecedented success, championships, and memories that won’t soon be forgotten. Greg Woodard resigned as head basketball coach at John Glenn last week leaving behind the program he’s spent the last 19 years assembling. Some expected it was coming, while others remain stunned by the news of his departure. Regardless, Woodard says it was the right time to walk away from coaching and he is willing to us why. In a sit down conversation, we chat with the Muskie alum about his decision to step down and go through the details of his storied career in New Concord. Special thanks goes out to Coach Woodard for believing in us when we came to him ten years about creating a film for his team. Storied Rivals was just getting started in 2008 and needed people to take a chance on us with a new concept and idea; his support never waivered. This piece represents why we do what we do and the value of a decade’s worth of memories on film.
Tupuola Dominates John Glenn; Philo Wins 3-0 April 17, 2018 Philo and John Glenn found themselves in a good old-fashioned pitchers duel, but it was the Lady Electrics that went home with the victory, 3-0. Philo's Dariean Tupuola pitched all seven innings, allowing only ONE hit and adding seven strikeouts. Offensively, the Lady Electrics made just enough plays. Kylie Hartman crossed home plate twice, helping her club to an important MVL win. See it all HERE!
Tri-Valley Hits Past Maysville, 3-2 April 17, 2018 The Dawgs held on to beat Maysville, 3-2, in MVL play and improved to 4-1 in the process. Chase Kendrick went the distance, striking out six. Tri-Valley had 5 hits with Skye Bryan and Drew Richert smacking 2 each.
Wellington Duked It Out With Jonathan Alder April 18, 2018 The Wellington School Lacrosse HIGHLIGHTS vs Jonathan Alder!! Wellington hung close to Jonathan Alder the entire game before the Pioneers pulled away in the final minutes to win 16-13. The Jags jumped out to a 6-2 lead after one quarter, but Alder would come back and bounce ahead 9-7 going into halftime. Wellington would score three straight to make it 13-14 with 4:00 left to play, but the Pioneers tossed in a pair of goals to close the door. Katz Kadlic led the Jags with 4 goals and Ben Edwards added 3.
Sheridan Hands Tri-Valley First Loss, 7-4 April 16, 2018 Tri-Valley didn't have an answer for Sheridan's offense in Tuesday's MVL softball showdown. The Generals jumped out to a 7-0 lead before pulling out the 7-4 win. It was the Lady Dawg's first loss of the season as they slipped to 6-1 overall (4-1 MVL). Sheridan remained unbeaten in league play at 3-0. Kearstin Dumolt blasted a 3R HR in the 7th inning for TV, but it was too little too late.
